back strengthening exercises

I rode for 15 yrs. growing up but had to quit due to back pain. Now, 10 yrs. later, I have begun riding again but am concerned that my back troubles will return. Does anyone have any recommendations for exercises or stretches that can keep my back healthy so I can keep up with my hobby? Thanks!

Haha. I go to the cyropractor, she alligns it and messages it too! Feels sooo good!!

Core work!  Yoga, pilates is great.  This site has some great fitness tips too!

I alternate ice wraps and heat when I really strain my back as well as taking a few ibuprofen before I go to bed.
